ACIC'S 24th Annual Quran Competition is back!

 

Quran Competition

We are honoured to announce the return of our 24th Annual Quran competition. This year competitors, both Brothers and Sisters, are asked to submit their recitations online. The categories are as follows;

 

Brothers:

Group 1- Advanced (Qiraat), Open age, Surah Hadid, 3min Limit

Group 2- Intermediate (Tartil), Open age, Surah of Choice, 3min Limit

 

Sisters:

Group 1- Advanced (Qiraat), Open age, Surah Hadid, 3min Limit

Group 2- Intermediate (Tartil), Open age, Surah of Choice, 3min Limit

 

Please submit your voice recording via email along with your name, age, gender, and group to acicquran@gmail.com. We ask that you ALSO state your name, age and group in the recording prior to reciting. 

 

DEADLINE: SATURDAY, APRIL 23RD, 2022, 12PM.

 

Some important points to note;

  1. Sisters will be marked by Female judges

  2. Brothers will be Judged by Male judges

  3. Panel of Judges include (but are not limited to); Qari Hameed Zarabi, Qari Sadeq Taheri, Qari Ali Rezai, Qari Mariam Shahsamand, Qari Hamideh Ahmadi, and Qari Mahmood Zarabi.

  4. Top 3 contestants for Brothers group 1 and 2 will be contacted and requested to attend final round in person during ACIC's 27th Ramadan program, Friday April 29th, 2022

  5. Top 3 contestants for Sisters group 1 and 2 will be contacted as well.

  6. Prizes will be given in person for both brothers and sisters during ACIC's 27th Ramadan program, Friday April 29th, 2022.

 

Tafsir Quran Competition

 

We will be holding the Tafsir Quran competition in person during ACIC's 27th Ramadan program, Friday April 29th, 2022. The Surah which will be examined is Surah Al-Hadid(57). This will be open to all members. Questions will be displayed and read in the main hall, we select members at random.
